Dear MAGIX Online World user,

In March, we informed you about the introduction of the new storage system for the MAGIX Online World. This will combine the previously separate storage systems for the Online Album and Website Maker, and the contents maintained by our customers has started to be transferred from the old system to the new one (data migration).

We're please to report that currently all data migrations have been completed successfully.

Due to the number of users to migrate and the quantity of data produced by several million files that is involved, there may be delays using our Online Services.
We would like to inform you now about possible disruptions and thank you in advance for your understanding.

1. If you are not able to log in to the Online World at a certain time, then your data is being migrated to the new storage system at that particular time. Normally, this process only lasts a few minutes for individual users. Just try logging in again later on.
   
   
2. Please don't be concerned in case the following symbol is displayed after you upload your media (photos, videos, music, or documents)
   
   
   
   
   
   in the Online Media Manager or in Website Maker. This symbol means that at that particular moment, a waiting loop has been created due to the high traffic created by the data migration, and this will have to be processed first. In exceptional cases, some media will not be able to be used for several hours after it has been uploaded.
   
   
3. In case the following symbol is displayed after you upload your media (photos, videos, music, or documents)
   
   
   
   
   
   in the Online Media Manager or in Website Maker, then an error has occurred. Please delete the file in this case and upload it again.

we have created new album designs for your online album.

For your  landscape pictures

Dear MAGIX Online Album user,
 
Starting immediately, you can export mixed albums that contain your favorite photos & videos, including background music, with just a few clicks as HTML to be embedded on external sites. Use this function to present your exciting slideshows and videos on other websites, e.g. MySpace, eBay, etc.
 
The export function is this easy to use:
 
   1. Log in at www.magix-online.com
   2. Start the Online Media Manager
   3. Click the settings icon next to the album you want to export
   4. Next, press the "Export" button
   5. Copy the HTML code out of the browser window that opens up
   6. Insert the HTML code into the target page (e.g. MySpace)

Tip! The special advantage of this export function is that changes you make to your MAGIX Online Album, (inserted photos, videos, music, etc. will be synchronized with the target website ( e.g. MySpace.com) .
 
Note! For MAGIX Website Maker users who would also like to show their online albums as great album slideshows on their own Flash website, there's an especially easy way to do this. Open up Website Maker and simply drag the the albums in the object manager directly onto the workspace.

Good news for everyone who would like to add a little polish to their personal Album Website: We've designed two new album designs for the Online Album, and these are available to you starting today!


 
Here's how to set a new album design for your Album Website:
1. Log in at www.magix-online.com
Note: If you don't have an account yet, then it's easy to register for FREE
2. Start the Online Media Manager
3. Click in the Online Media Manager on the "Settings" button to the top right, and then click "Album design"
4. Select a new album design for your Online Album
5. Tip: Invite your friends to your website right away via the "Invite" button

The text will be displayed after the page is accessed at the center of the Online Album (s. picture).
