we have just placed an improvement of the Website Maker online, which you will surely enjoy .
By improving the internal loading logic of the Website Maker, we have managed to noticeably reduce the loading times in the Website Maker itself as well as on the website.
Particularly dynamic websites that fully exploit the diverse design options of the Flash® technology will notice the improved loading times.
 
Tip: Take a look in the Website Maker in the Objekt Manager under Media Player. There you will find a surprise: a new presentation form for your photos & videos .

Dear users of MAGIX Website Maker,

To edit your websites even faster, Website Maker now features
practical key combinations, so-called "shortcuts",
which help access important functions directly and quickly.

Current key combinations

Delete object
Select object + DEL

Change opacity
Select object + SHIFT + A + [0..9]
Note: The corresponding number indicates the opacity in percent 
(1=10%, 2=20%,..., 0=100% )

Switch to background mode to change the background
SHIFT + E + B

Switch to navigation mode to change the navigation
SHIFT + E + F

Switch back to foreground mode
SHIFT + E + P

Move objects horizontally and vertically along an axis
Select object + SHIFT + move object horizontally/vertically

Rotate objects in 45° steps
Select object + SHIFT + Rotate object 45° via the rotate icon

Move object 10 pixels right, left, up, down
Select object + SHIFT + arrow key (right, left, up, down)

Dear MAGIX Website Maker users,

In the last months we have recieved many suggestions for improving text filed objects. The wish to have the text field equipped with its own scrollbars was often voiced. We are happy to annouce, that this feature is available online starting today.

This is how the new scroll textfield works:

• All currently available text fields on the workspace have two option icons at the bottom, which may be used to turn scrollbars on or off.
  
  
  Scrollbar is off
  
  
  Scrollbar is on
  
  
  

  Note! If the scrollbars are activated, but is not shown, it can be becasue the text still fits into the frame. Scrollbars will be shown dynamically as soon as the text no longer fits into the frame.
  
  
• In the Object Manager you can add scrollbar text fields next to normal text fields. To do this, simply select the text field and drag it onto the work stage.
  
  
  New category "scroll text field" in the Object Manager
  
  
  
•  The appearance of the scrollbars may be altered at any time. Select the scroll text field and open the "Properties Manager". Under"Scrollbar skin" select a differnt scrollbar with a click. You may also change the orientation of thscrollbar (right or left).  Of course, all other object properties (such as coloration, links) also work.
