Dear MAGIX Online World user,
In March, we informed you about the introduction of the new storage system for the MAGIX Online World. This will combine the previously separate storage systems for the Online Album and Website Maker, and the contents maintained by our customers has started to be transferred from the old system to the new one (data migration).
We're please to report that currently all data migrations have been completed successfully.
Due to the number of users to migrate and the quantity of data produced by several million files that is involved, there may be delays using our Online Services.
We would like to inform you now about possible disruptions and thank you in advance for your understanding.
- If you are not able to log in to the Online World at a certain time, then your data is being migrated to the new storage system at that particular time. Normally, this process only lasts a few minutes for individual users. Just try logging in again later on.
- Please don't be concerned in case the following symbol is displayed after you upload your media (photos, videos, music, or documents)
in the Online Media Manager or in Website Maker. This symbol means that at that particular moment, a waiting loop has been created due to the high traffic created by the data migration, and this will have to be processed first. In exceptional cases, some media will not be able to be used for several hours after it has been uploaded.
- In case the following symbol is displayed after you upload your media (photos, videos, music, or documents)
in the Online Media Manager or in Website Maker, then an error has occurred. Please delete the file in this case and upload it again.
As a consolation for these issues, we're preparing a feature update for next week with several great new features. We'll make sure to inform you with an entry in this blog.
