Dear MAGIX Online World user,

beginning today we will be introducing a new storage system for the MAGIX Online World. This process will combine the storage areas of the Online Album and Website Maker. This entails that the files for each user will need to be copied to the new system. The process will tentatively last several weeks, since the number of users and the incoming quantity of data is very high; however, for the individual user it will only take a few minutes. While your data is being copied, it is possible that you may not be able to log into the Online World Control Center. Please try again later if this happens to you.

Dear users of MAGIX Online Album,

Good news for everyone who would like to add a little polish to their personal Album Website: We've designed a new album designs for the Online Album, and tis is available to you starting today!

Dear MAGIX Online Album user,
 
Starting immediately, you can export mixed albums that contain your favorite photos & videos, including background music, with just a few clicks as HTML to be embedded on external sites. Use this function to present your exciting slideshows and videos on other websites, e.g. MySpace, eBay, etc.
 
The export function is this easy to use:
 
   1. Log in at www.magix-online.com
   2. Start the Online Media Manager
   3. Click the settings icon next to the album you want to export
   4. Next, press the "Export" button
   5. Copy the HTML code out of the browser window that opens up
   6. Insert the HTML code into the target page (e.g. MySpace)

Tip! The special advantage of this export function is that changes you make to your MAGIX Online Album, (inserted photos, videos, music, etc. will be synchronized with the target website ( e.g. MySpace.com) .
 
Note! For MAGIX Website Maker users who would also like to show their online albums as great album slideshows on their own Flash website, there's an especially easy way to do this. Open up Website Maker and simply drag the the albums in the object manager directly onto the workspace.

How to add professional background music to your Online Album

• Log into www.magix-online.com
• Start the Online Medien Manager
• Click on the "Settings" icon next to the album you want to add sound to
• Select the option "Background music"
• Select your background music and click on "OK"
  

Dear users of the MAGIX Online Album,
 
We have added a so-called "Guest account without an email address" to the album password protection.
 
After extensively reviewing customer feedback we discovered that users also like to invite friends to the password-protected album who currently do not have an email address of their own. So far it was not possible to allow these people to access the album.
 
This is why we have added the "Guest account without an email address" to the album password protection feature. With this new account you can now invite your friends, uncles, aunts or grandparents who don't have an email address of their own to your password-protected album. Simply tell them the password after you have set up your album.
 
How the login for guests without an email address works:

• Log in on www.magix-online.com
• Start the Online Media Manager
• Click on the Properties icon next to the album you want to protect
• Select "Access management"
• Choose "Only selected users may view the album website"
• Check the "Guests without an email address" box and enter a secure password
• Tell you friends the web address and the password

2. Start the Online Media Manager
3. Click in the Online Media Manager on the "Settings" button to the top right, and then click "Album design"
4. Select a new album design for your Online Album
5. Tip: Invite your friends to your website right away via the "Invite" button

• There is a single control center for both services (Online Album & Website Maker) to provide better service management. The system is simpler because only one login will be required.
• To manage your services, log in via the new portal: www.magix-online.com. With one login, you can add new photos & videos into your Online Album, make changes to your websites, or try out other great extras.
• New, future MAGIX Online Services can also be activated more easily
• With this new portal, we can inform you more easily about new features & improvements and more
